Grasshoppers take on Bloods in Colbinabbin

GREAT rivals across the previous three seasons, Colbinabbin and Elmore clash in this Saturday’s 10th round of A-grade netball in the Agnico Eagle Fosterville Gold Mine Heathcote DFNL season.

Colbinabbin has home-court advantage at MJ Morgan Oval for a 2.30pm showdown.

Since an 11-goal loss to Elmore in the 2024 grand final, Colbinabbin is on an unbeaten streak.

The Jen McIntyre-coached Grasshoppers were refreshed by last Saturday’s bye as Elmore was beaten by six goals at home by Lockington Bamawm United.

It’s a huge test for the Adam Boldiston-coached Bloods to bounce back against the reigning champions.

After a hard-fought victory at home, North Bendigo will be determined to keep the momentum rolling against Lockington Bamawm United.

The Kiralee Kinder-coached North Bendigo netted a 44-42 win against Huntly last Saturday and is back at Bendigo Club Oval in Atkins Street to play the LBU Cats.

Wins in the past two rounds have strengthened North Bendigo’s position in the top four.

Confidence for the Stacy Bacon-coached LBU has soared after a 57-51 win on Elmore’s court.

When these teams met in round 1 it was the Bulldogs who won 51-41 at Lockington’s Nichol Trading Oval.

The Harlowe Huntly Hawks return home to Strauch Reserve to face White Hills.

A Huntly team coached by Kym Bell and Ash Sherlock holds fifth place in a season where it has won three matches, drawn one, and been defeated four times.

It will be a massive test for the Hawks against the Elley Lawton-coached White Hills, which will be fighting to hold its place in the top three.

Mount Pleasant is back on its court at Toolleen to play Leitchville Gunbower.

The Anthea McCleary-coached Blues won last Saturday’s home game against Heathcote by 36 goals.

The Katie Pollock-coached Leitchville Gunbower played at White Hills.
