HEATHCOTE will be aiming to clip the wings of the Harlowe Huntly Hawks in this Saturday’s round 12 clash in Agnico Eagle Fosterville Gold Mine Heathcote DFNL senior footy.

The Saints and Hawks will clash from 2.20pm at Pigeon Park in Heathcote’s Barrack Reserve.

Back in the five after last Saturday’s home win against Leitchville Gunbower by 13 points, Heathcote has a chance to open a buffer to the sixth-placed LG Bombers.

A top contest between Heathcote and Huntly in round three ended in a one-goal win for the Saints in the Hawks’ nest at Strauch Reserve.

The Hamish Morcom-coached Huntly broke Mount Pleasant’s unbeaten streak in a 41-point win at Strauch Reserve last round.

In-form players for Heathcote include Stefan Rasinac, Dillon Williams, Jake Waters and Lachlan Freeman-Taber.

The Saints line-up is jointly coached by Andrew Saladino, non-playing, and Liam Jacques, playing.

Players to watch in the brown and gold include Nathan and Sam Dunstan, Abe Sladden, Steve Kairn and Will Lee.

It’s the Blues against the Cats as Mount Pleasant faces Lockington Bamawm United at Toolleen.

In a season where it has seven wins, two draws, and one loss, the Josh Hann and Cam Carter-coached Mount Pleasant leads the ladder.

Mounts beat the Jayden Howe-coached LBU by 59 points in round three and will start favourite to repeat the feat.

It’s the Bulldogs against the Bloods as North Bendigo hosts Elmore at Bendigo Club Oval in Atkins Street.

A Bulldogs’ team coached by Rob Bennett, non-playing, and Ryan Hartley, playing, has sights on win number seven and strengthening its position in the top three.

The Luke Freeman-coached Bloods had the bye last round.

North Bendigo won at Elmore in round three by 40 points.

At White Hills the Demons take on Colbinabbin on the Scott Street ground.

Been a tough season for the Brad McConnell and Lachie Sawyer-coached White Hills which won its opening two games and is fighting to break an eight-match losing streak.

A strong Colbinabbin team coached by Linton Jacobs includes Aidan Basile, Isaac Carracher, Brandyn Grenfell and Tanner Nally.

Leitchville Gunbower has the bye.
