Roos aim to roll Square at home

KANGAROO Flat will be on home turf as it faces Golden Square in this Saturday’s third round of Premier Division action in the Bendigo leg of Bendigo Campaspe Goldfields pennant bowls.

It’s fourth against third on the Kangaroos’ greens in Station Street from 1.30pm.

The Roos and Bulldogs both marked impressive victories in round two.

Kangaroo Flat won all four rinks at Inglewood to record an 18-116 to 0-46 victory with skippers for the Roos of Paul Moller, Brad Marron, Greg Podesta and Malcolm McLean.

Golden Square won 15-75 to 3-73 at Moama.

Andrew Brown and Dale Jackson won by six and nine shots.

The in-form South Bendigo makes its way to Moama.

The Diggers will be chasing a hat-trick of victories as the Steamers strive for a breakthrough victory.

South Bendigo won three of four rinks in last Saturday’s play at home against Eaglehawk.

Highest winning margin for the Diggers was for the Garri Conforti-skipped rink in a 20-13 result against Lachlan Bowland.

Daryl Rowley and Liam Crapper both won by two shots.

A high for the Hawks was the 26-19 victory for Tony Ellis against Brad Holland.

Moama will be desperate to strike back from a 3-73 to 15-75 loss to Golden Square.

The Alex Marshall-skipped rink marked a 25-12 win for Moama against Travis Berry.

Steamers’ team-mates Kevin Anderson and Travis Kelly were beaten by six and nine shots.

It was a 17-all result between Cameron Keenan and the Bulldogs’ Thomas Lester.

Eaglehawk takes on the ladder-leading Bendigo on the Simpsons Road greens in the Borough.

The Hawks’ skippers in the match at South Bendigo were Tony Ellis, Lachlan Bowland, Kym Schumacher and Simon Carter.

Bendigo won three of four rinks in a 16-87 to 2-69 victory at Bendigo East.

A talented Bendigo line-up includes Tim Arnold, Brayden Byrne, Luke Hoskin and Ian Ross.

Inglewood hosts Bendigo East in the clash of the winless teams.
