HALLORAN Diesel began in 2017 when founder Dan Halloran started out as a sole trader. What began as a one man operation has since grown into a thriving business with three qualified mechanics, two apprentices, a parts salesman/workshop supervisor and two administration staff. They are actively searching for additional qualified mechanics to join the team.

In the early days, Dan was working FIFO while completing earthmoving machinery repairs for Clark Grading on his days off. Word quickly spread, demand increased and it soon became clear to Dan that the opportunity to leave FIFO life behind and build something local was right in front of him. Making the change allowed Dan to work for himself, support local businesses and stay home with his wife Nicole and their two young daughters, Ava and Sophie.

Halloran Diesel’s first workshop was a shed on Blackwood Street in Mount Gambier, where Dan worked independently on a wide range of earthmoving machinery. He also serviced and maintained irrigation pivot engines and agricultural equipment for local dairies and farms. As the workload grew, the business transitioned to a company structure and hired its first mechanic in 2023.

Since then Halloran Diesel has steadily expanded, adding more highly skilled mechanics and dedicated administration staff. Last year, the opportunity arose to take over the former Triple S premises at 9 O’Leary Road, Suttontown. This move enabled the team to broaden their services to include truck and trailer maintenance and repairs.

Today, Halloran Diesel continues to grow as they rise to meet the needs of customers across the region. They provide mobile repair and maintenance services for heavy equipment and machinery throughout the South East and Western Victoria. With a strong focus on preventative maintenance, safety and efficiency, their goal is to keep machinery operating at peak performance, minimise downtime and support the productivity of local businesses.

With extensive experience in the field and four fully equipped service trucks, their team delivers reliable, high quality mechanical support across the region. They service all major brands of machinery and provide onsite breakdown support, including hydraulic hose replacement directly at the work site to reduce downtime.

Halloran Diesel’s expertise extends far beyond trucks and heavy equipment. Their team also provides air conditioning servicing and diagnostics, ECM diagnostics, ECU remapping, irrigation engine maintenance and control panel installations, access equipment safety inspections and maintenance of small stationary engines.

The recent addition of experienced parts salesman Steve has strengthened the business even further, allowing Halloran Diesel to offer competitive pricing on Fleetguard filters and Valvoline products. Businesses are encouraged to contact Steve for a quote.
