Specialist Programs and Partnerships

MGHS students shine in our Specialist Sports Programs, including basketball, netball, football, and soccer, led by accredited coaches and delivering proven results. Our commitment to the arts includes up-and-coming Drama and Music programs, giving students the chance to perform, create, and explore their talents.

Languages are valued here, too. Japanese is taught across our curriculum, and students can deepen their cultural understanding at our popular Japanese Culture Club, held every week.

Our strong ties with the Limestone Coast Technical College, Group Training Employment, Youth Opportunities, Headspace, and other local organisations create seamless transitions from school to work, further study, and beyond. These partnerships mean every student can access tailored opportunities, from apprenticeships and industry training to health and wellbeing programs.

Celebrating Achievement and Community Support

We honour student efforts and achievement through our renowned Labore and Subject Awards, regular Celebration Assemblies, and a range of scholarships funded by the generous Mount Gambier and Limestone Coast community.

Whether students see their futures in university lecture halls, on the sports field, backstage, in a trade, or out in the world making a difference—MGHS is where their journey begins.
