2026 Surf2Jetty launched at Beachport

BEACHPORT Surf Life Saving Club is gearing up to launch its inaugural Surf2Jetty Swim/Run/Walk on Sunday, January 11, with the family-friendly fundraiser already attracting strong interest from both locals and visitors from as far away as Adelaide.

Designed to be inclusive and accessible, Surf2Jetty invites participants of all ages and abilities to walk, run or swim from the Surf Beach to Beachport’s iconic jetty.

The event offers multiple course options, including a 2km open water swim, a scenic run along the bike path nestled among the Norfolk Pines, and a relaxed beach walk with stunning views across Rivoli Bay and the Beachport township.

All courses finish at the beach beside the jetty, creating a vibrant and welcoming event hub for participants and spectators alike and for anyone that prefers a shorter swim, the club is also offering a 500m swim alongside the Beachport jetty.

Accessibility has been a strong focus in the planning of the event.

The pathways between the Surf Beach and jetty are fully inclusive, allowing access for wheelchairs and prams, and the club is offering companion tickets for eligible participants, along with designated parking available upon request, ensuring Surf2Jetty is truly a community event that everyone can enjoy.

With more than 50 entries already received, the 2km swim is nearing capacity, while places remain available in the 500m swim and other events.

The strong early response highlights the growing appeal of the event and the opportunity it provides to combine fitness, fun, and community connection in a spectacular coastal setting.

Beachport Surf Life Saving Club is proud to be partnering with the Millicent Cancer Support Group, with $5 from every entry going directly towards supporting local hospital assistance, research, and community-based programs.

Funds raised will help provide practical and meaningful support to individuals and families within the Limestone Coast region.

Entries for Surf2Jetty will close on Thursday, January 8. Community members are encouraged to get involved—whether by participating, volunteering, or cheering on competitors on the day.
