Bringing colour to the commuity

It was 12 months ago that the Carpenter Rocks Progress Association decided to tackle the Admella Reserve amenities, converting the shabby exterior into a public artwork – the project coinciding with the installation of the new playground equipment.

Port MacDonnell based artist Jeremy Ievens had previously taken on Carpenter Rocks community art projects and his skills were again enlisted to convert toilet block into a craypot, which will be interactive once completed with the installation of a mooring rope and float.

Association fundraising, with finances secured through camping ground donation at Admella Reserve during Generations in Jazz, one of the major income sources, as well as some assistance from the District Council of Grant has made the art project possible.
