AN outstanding $176,413 has been raised through Swinging with the Stars 2026, reinforcing the strength of community generosity across the Limestone Coast and the impact of Stand Like Stone Foundation’s flagship fundraising event.

Held on Saturday night at The Barn before a sold-out crowd of more than 500 people, the event brought together eight local Stars who spent months rehearsing and fundraising for causes close to their hearts.

After a night of high-energy performances and strong competition, the 2026 Swinging with the Stars title was awarded to Jack Lane and Zoey Norman.

The People’s Choice Award, determined by public fundraising totals, went to Linda Carter after she raised an incredible $47,244 with the support of the Beachport community.

The People’s Choice result highlights the strong community backing behind individual participants, with every donation contributing to broader impact across the region.

Funds raised through Swinging with the Stars support Stand Like Stone Foundation’s ongoing work delivering scholarships and grants across the Limestone Coast.

Each year, this includes approximately $100,000 in scholarships and around $100,000 in community grants, supporting initiatives that strengthen education, wellbeing, inclusion and opportunity.

Since its establishment, Stand Like Stone has returned approximately $3 million to the community through grants and scholarships.

The 2026 event also held special significance as the first since the passing of Dr Sue Charlton AM, a founder of Stand Like Stone Foundation and the driving force behind the introduction of Swinging with the Stars.

Dr Charlton’s vision of bringing people together for a shared purpose continues to shape the event and its impact today.

The establishment of the Sue Charlton AM Memorial Sub-Fund earlier this year will ensure her legacy continues through initiatives that improve paediatric health outcomes for children in the Limestone Coast.

From dancers and volunteers to sponsors, production teams and supporters, the success of the night reflects a shared commitment to giving back.

The sold-out event, proudly supported by Ray White Mount Gambier, once again showcased the strength of community partnerships across the region.

Statement from the Stand Like Stone Foundation Board:

“Event celebrations this year were deeply affected by a tragic accident which occurred in the lead up to the event. The Stand Like Stone Foundation event team were saddened by the accident and our thoughts are with affected families, friends and loved ones during this time.”
