Local groups are encouraged to consider how a small project or purchase could make a big difference.

WATTLE Range Council is encouraging local community, sport, and recreation groups to apply for the second round of its Community Financial Assistance Grants before applications close on January 5 next year.

Wattle Range Mayor Des Noll said these grants help build a vibrant community by supporting services, events, and local clubs.

Local groups are encouraged to consider how a small project or purchase could make a big difference.

“Whether it’s a laptop for a community group or upgrading equipment for the next sporting season,” Mayor Noll said. “This funding could help sustain our grassroots groups and the many volunteers that support them.”

Each year, council allocates around $55,000 to support clubs and volunteer organisations across Wattle Range. Grants of up to $2000, offered on a dollar-for-dollar basis are available across two funding categories:

The Community Financial Assistance Grants are available to support community services, events, and initiatives.

Whereas the Sport & Recreation Financial Assistance Grants support local organisations looking to develop sport and recreation facilities, programs, and events.

“We invite all eligible organisations to apply and strengthen the future of the Wattle Range community,” Mayor Noll said.

Applications close Monday, January 5, 2026.
