DEMONS sharpshooter Brayden Kain slotted an after the siren goal to consign the inaugural Limestone Coast Football Netball League Good Friday A Grade football clash to a draw.

West Gambier hosted South Gambier for the Easter event, which doubled as a fundraiser.

South Gambier president Darren Sims was pleased with how the newly installed fixture unfolded.

“The Good Friday game was well supported with an enthusiastic crowd seeing a great contest end in a draw and over $4500 was raised for the Mount Gambier oncology unit,” he said.

“West Gambier president Shane Giddings did a fantastic job organising the half time ‘Kick into the Quickmix Truck’ which entertained the crowd and was won by Wanita Robinson who took home $250. The clubs will look to build on the day next year and support locals in need.”
