Exciting Community Activities Alongside Tennis SA State League All Stars Event in Lucindale

Lucindale, South Australia – A thrilling array of community engagement activities has been unveiled to coincide with the upcoming visit of the Tennis SA State League All Stars to Lucindale later this month.

In collaboration with the Naracoorte Lucindale Council and the Lucindale Country Club, Tennis SA is set to host this event on Saturday, November 25.

What makes this year’s event unique is the inclusion of local participants in the red and blue teams. Tennis and golf matches will contribute to determining an overall community event champion by the end of the day.

On Friday, November 24, the All Stars will be welcomed to Lucindale by students from the Lucindale Area School, followed by a lively Hot Shots Tennis carnival.

The action-packed Saturday will commence with junior competition matches from the Southern Ports Tennis Association, starting at 9 am. The All Stars will be actively involved as on-court coaches and mentors, offering valuable guidance and support throughout the morning.

The highly anticipated Tennis SA State League All Stars matches will kick off at 11:30 am, with the Southern Ports Tennis Association senior competition matches joining the action from 1 pm. Notably, the local golf competition will also be part of the festivities, contributing points to the overall tally for the red and blue teams.

Families and tennis enthusiasts can look forward to the All Stars Kids Zone, featuring Tennis Hot Shots, inflatable tennis activities, and exciting giveaways.

Additionally, this year will see the introduction of Ballkids joining the All Stars on court for the first time. Local children had the opportunity to participate in “come and try” sessions in September, resulting in the selection of a final squad of 18. After the event, one girl and one boy will be chosen to join the prestigious Adelaide International Ballkid Squad in 2024.

In the lead-up to the event, a coloring competition has been organized for local school students. Children are encouraged to enter in one of three age groups for a chance to win a tennis prize pack.

Naracoorte Lucindale Council CEO, Trevor Smart, expressed his excitement for the upcoming Tennis SA State League All Stars event. He described it as a fantastic opportunity for the local community to witness the highest level of tennis competition in the state while actively participating in the action.
