Veal secures Easter series victory

JAMIE Veal’s victories at Mount Gambier’s Borderline Speedway and then at Warrnambool’s Premier Speedway secured the experienced sprintcar driver the 2025 Easter Sprintcar Trail title.

Winning two of the three race series, that also includes Avalon Raceway, ensured the SWI Racing driver took out the long standing event.

Veal (pictured right – Photo courtesy of Clutch Life Media) had to come from 12th on the grid in the final night of racing to secure the Easter title.

Tayte Frost was the other impressive driver over the Easter weekend, winning Avalon finishing second at the Borderline and then third in Warrnambool.

The Easter Sprintcar Trail also had to beat the weather with the last night of racing brought forward to beat the predicted rain, ensuring the official end to the sprintcar season ended with an A-Main race.

It took Veal 13 laps to work his way through the field to a podium position and, in the end, despite a late yellow flag giving pole sitter Daniel Pestka a chance to regain the lead, he was able to clinch victory.
