A puppet’s testing transition to boyhood at the Shed

January 16, 2020 BY

Pinocchio at the Shed finishes tomorrow (January 17).

The Potato Shed is putting on eight shows across four days this week for Theatre 3222’s new production of Pinocchio.

The school holiday show stars aspiring young actors Alysha Kitchingman, Jess Smith and seasoned performer Chris Reynolds.

Written by Rob Macleod and directed by Jennifer Brown, Pinocchio at the Potato Shed is a fun reinvention of the original story.

Pinocchio’s journey is not entirely straightforward – he is easily led and must work out for himself the difference between lies and the truth.

The story blends the traditional fable with some modern twists and touching moments.

Help Pinocchio to make it through his journey as he meets an assortment of funny characters along the way, some who trick him and some who help him.

Will someone help Pinocchio to believe his dream of becoming a real boy? Can he learn to tell right from wrong? Does he have the courage to be a real boy?

Filled with catchy original songs, great characters and hilarious jokes, Pinocchio at the Shed is a production for the whole family to enjoy.

It is on today (Thursday, January 16) and tomorrow (Friday, January 17) for two shows on either day – 10.30am or 1.30pm.

Secure your tickets by calling the Potato Shed on 5251 1998 or head to geelongaustralia.com.au/potatoshed to book online.
