AIREYS Pub will come alive next month with an impressive line-up of live music, all in support of a charity close to the team’s heart.
Taking place on December 6, Rock the Beanie will bring a day of music, community and giving back to the Surf Coast venue.
All proceeds from the event will go towards Carrie’s Beanies 4 Brain Cancer, as the charity works towards finding a cure for the disease.
Aireys Pub marketing manager Lorcan O’Kelly said the pub was hoping to make as much money as possible at the music-based fundraiser.
“We’ve got different acts and artists, all music, different styles, some will be kind of light, chill covers and then moving into a bit more rock as well.

“Another aspect of it is that we’re trying to promote up-and-coming talent on the Surf Coast, as well as some staples, some crowd favourites that have been around for years.”
The incredible lineup will feature local musicians including Twin Flame, Atomic Entourage and Blue Earth, alongside the Riflebirds and South Atlas.
Music will start at 2pm and run throughout the day, particularly on the outdoor stage that sits on the pub’s front lawn.
“People can sit out there on the tables, sink some beers and hopefully the sun will be shining and it’s hopefully going to be a really nice day with good vibes,” O’Kelly said.
“It is going to be more of an event with a big stage, and hopefully people are dancing on the grass.”
Raising funds for brain cancer research has a deeper meaning for the Aireys Pub team, who lost a friend to the disease, inspiring them to choose the charity for their fundraiser.
