ARIA and J-Award winning songwriter and vocalist Hannah Joy will play a rare solo show in Anglesea later this month.
The voice and creative force behind Sydney indie-rock trio Middle Kids will present an intimate set as part of The Sound Doctor at Anglesea Memorial Hall.
Middle Kids first rose to international attention with 2017 breakout single Edge of Town, earning praise from Elton John, before winning Triple J’s Album of the Year for debut album Lost Friends (2018).
Their ARIA Award-winning follow-up Today We’re The Greatest (2021) and 2024 release Faith Crisis Pt 1 have cemented the band as one of Australia’s most vital contemporary acts.
The February 27 show will feature reimagined fan favourites, alongside brand-new unreleased material.
Founder of The Sound Doctor, Dr David Corbet, said this would a rare chance to hear Joy’s songs in their most raw and direct form.
“We’re so stoked to have Hannah add us in to her debut solo tour, which has already sold out multiple shows in Sydney and Melbourne.
“This really is one you don’t want to miss!
“This is the sort of special show we love to bring to the Surf Coast. Stripped back, close up, and deeply personal. It’s such an intimate room and this will be an awesome show.”
The Sound Doctor advises that this show replaces the previously announced Hannah Cohen and Sam Evian show. Due to unforeseen circumstances the entire Australian tour has been cancelled
Hannah Joy will perform on February 27 from 7.43pm.
