Bomboras brings Cup to beach

December 1, 2017 BY

Melbourne Cup celebrations will be held at Bomboras this Tuesday from 11am-4pm, with an explosion of colour, action and excitement.

Guests will be given a drink on arrival, with gourmet food platters created from locally sourced produce to be served throughout the day.

Bomboras Melbourne Cup event organiser Nicole Mitchell is excited for the fun event and to see everyone, including employees, get into the Melbourne Cup spirit.

“We will be hosting our own Fashions on the Field with three great local judges,” Nicole said.

“These judges include local business owner Emily Dornbusch from Emeldo, local fashionista Rachel Perry, and Matt from Mt Duneed Estate.

“Prizes will be awarded to Best Dressed Man, Best Dressed Woman and Best Headwear. We want people to have fun with it.

“All three of our judges will bring a fun element to the day and keep the Fashions on the Field light and not too serious.”

Local businesses have been generous with their prizes, with guests having the chance to win items from Emeldo, Mt Duneed Estate, Modom Surf and Bomboras.

There will be a selection of beers and wine, along with Pimms.

“Staff will definitely be dressing up too and we’re looking forward to seeing the race on the big screen.”

The Melbourne Cup is an unmissable event in spring’s social calendar and for those wanting to avoid the chaos of Flemington but still enjoy the races in style, purchase a ticket to Bomboras Melbourne Cup event.

Tickets are on sale for $35 at Bomboras Restaurant on the Esplanade or Fishos Cafe.
