Boom Crash Opera, 1927 to rock Geelong

Boom Crash Opera and 1927 are joining forces to showcase their music with the Best Things Tour.

The performances will see the two Australian bands showcase their top 40 hits.

The tour will open at The Wool Exchange in Geelong, before the show heads across the country, travelling to Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Sydney and more.

Boom Crash Opera formed in 1984 and play a mix of indie pop and stadium rock style music.

“We are so excited to be kicking off our Best Things tour with 1927 in Geelong,” Boom Crash Opera guitarist Peter Farnan said.

“The Wool Exchange is a great venue to play – we love that stage with the audience up close and all around us. It will be a total wall-to-wall hits extravaganza!”

Boom Crash Opera has 13 top 50 singles and five top 50 albums, with hits such as “Great Wall”, “Onion Skin”, “Get Out Of The House”, and “Hands Up In The Air”.

Pop rock band 1927 were formed in Melbourne in 1987 and are noted for their hits “That’s When I Think Of You”, “Compulsory Hero”, and “If I Could”.

Their debut album …Ish went quintuple platinum in 1988, earning the band several ARIA Awards, with their second album “The Otherside” also going multi-platinum.

1927 has played extensively across Australia and internationally.

The Best Things Tour will come to The Wool Exchange on March 1 from 8pm.
