Earlier this year, Torquay Books was awarded Regional Bookshop of the year by Leading Edge, a fitting accolade for previous owner Rosemary Featherston, who established the bookshop 14 years ago.

Torquay Books’ new owner Lynne Main aims to continue where Rosemary left off and has recently upgraded the website showing all the books on the shelves in real time.

Lynne views the shop as a treasure trove.

“It’s lovely to see customers taking their time browsing through the shelves. It is such a unique shop in that you are able to find a gift for family and friends of any age, male or female”.

The dedicated staff at Torquay Books go out of their way to assist customers in finding books for them, even going so far as to order books in from overseas.

They are committed to ensuring customer satisfaction and reading extensively themselves so they are better able to make recommendations.
