Are you concerned your hearing might be on the decline? Do you need to have your hearing aids updated, tested or changed?
Waurn Ponds Hearing Clinic is a committed group of audiologists that is ensuring patients are better able to communicate.
Audiologist and clinic owner Fiona Sutherland has worked in the field for 24 years and says opening an independent clinic has been a positive experience.
“I was sick of working as an audiologist in large national chains whose aim was to flog any product to clients, whether it be the required and most suitable choice,” she says.
“I opened up a small independent clinic where you know who you’re going to see, and staff are always available to help fix a problem which is important when you can’t hear.
“We can fit all brands of aids and we also allow at-home trials of devices.”
With a team of three staff, Fiona says each audiologist is passionate about their work and helping people with difficulties hearing to enjoy life.
“(We enjoy) helping people to communicate better and allowing a client to experience better hearing and seeing their life change,” she says.
“We offer trials of aids and rechargeable hearing aids which are convenient to use even for those with poor dexterity.”
Fiona also offers ear waxing removal services.
With the aim to keep having fun while thriving for the remainder of the year, Waurn Ponds Hearing Clinic is celebrating eight years of business.
The clinic is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm as well as after hours by negotiation.
