Endless Summer AS THE JEZABELS HIT THE SURF COAST

February 28, 2019 BY

Aussie indie rock act The Jezabels have teamed up with Corona for a national tour, arriving to the Surf Coast March 16 and 24 as part of the Corona SunSets series.

Delivering a slew of hits including “Endless Summer”, The Jezabels will perform 20 shows including the Torquay and Lorne Hotel, March 16 and 24 respectively, with free entry in true SunSets series fashion.

Corona Australia Brand Manager Shencina Conway said the band embodies the high calibre of performers that have already toured with Corona.

“The Jezabels is Corona’s first tour of 2019 and they join an incredible list of Australian and international artists that have played at venues all over the country for Corona SunSets,” she said.

“This includes Grammy Award winners Portugal. The Man, triple j favourites Cloud Control and The Rubens, and in the past six months Touch Sensitive and Boo Seeka.

“There’s no better way to extend your summer than with an evening of awesome music, sunsets and buckets of icy cold cervezas.”

The Jezabels formed in Sydney in 2007  after meeting at high school in Byron Bay, their unique sound coupled with Hayley Mary’s powerful vocals, garnering an immediate following.

Described as a blend of indie rock and disco pop, The Jezabels have released three EPs and three critically acclaimed albums, collecting rave reviews, ARIA Awards, gold and platinum certifications, top ten spots on triple j’s Hottest 100 and an Australian Music Prize along the way.

They’ve played every major Australian music festival: Splendour in the Grass, Falls Festival, Groovin the Moo, headlining Laneway and more, plus spots on Glastonbury (UK), The Governor’s Ball (US), Lollapalooza (US) and T in the Park (UK).

Having toured the world multiple times and shared the stage with the likes of Tegan & Sara, Garbage, Imagine Dragons and Depeche Mode, The Jezabels said they were excited to embark on their first national tour since 2016.

“We are really excited to be heading out this March for our first national tour in two and a half years, and our most extensive to date, hitting both the major cities and regionals as well.

“This is our favourite kind of touring. Can’t wait.”
