GRETTA RAY AT TORQUAY HOTEL

The Torquay Hotel Surf Series presents Gretta Ray with full band and special guests Feelds and Ella Sweeney on Friday. Described by the Rolling Stone as “Interpretational flexibility, with pop-facing sensibility retained, all representative of an artist rapidly honing her craft”, Gretta has supported the likes of Vance Joy, Paul Kelly, The Rubens and Lianne La Havas, whilst being booked on renowned Australian festivals Falls Festival and Splendour in the Grass. ST THERESE TWILIGHT FAIR RETURNS

The St Therese Twilight Fair is on again from 3pm until 8pm. Take the family along to Torquay’s St Therese Primary School, 50 Grossmans Road, and enjoy rides, stalls, food vans, live music and drinks. Purchase a wristband for $30 (+ booking fee) and receive unlimited carnival rides (excluding the petting zoo, photo booth and yard games). Wristbands purchased on the day will be $40; individual tickets for rides can also be purchased on the day. Don’t forget to bring a picnic rug or chair. Head to eventbrite.com.au for tickets.

JOIN IN AN ART WORKSHOP THIS WEEKEND

The Anglesea Arthouse has limited spaces left in two courses running over the March 23-24 weekend: Janet Matthews’ pencil drawing workshop and Lianne Gough’s child portraiture oil painting workshop. Both are running from 10am – 3pm in the arthouse’s new studio. Janet is renowned for her colour pencil and graphite combination, and has exhibited extensively.
