Geelong Arts Centre reveals 2024 season

Geelong Arts Centre is promising extraordinary experiences through the world of the arts and offering something for everyone in its 2024 season.

Having unveiled the $140 million Little Malop Street redevelopment in August, the centre is giving theatre-goers the opportunity to experience the new arts centre like never before.

The season, announced today (Wednesday, December 6), aims to take audience members on a journey that ignites their curiosity while ensuring enjoyment.

Arts lovers will have the chance to discover something new as well as revisiting timeless classics in a celebration of diversity.

Consisting of eight core performances and four special additions, Geelong Arts Centre’s SEASON 2024 brings together cherished theatrical masterpieces such as A Midsummer Night’s Dream from Bell Shakespeare and Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap, with coming-of-age dramedy, a co-commissioned world premiere contemporary work from world-renowned Geelong theatre-makers Back to Back Theatre, music from John Foreman’s Australian Pops Orchestra with Marina Prior, as well as contemporary dance and circus.

SEASON 2024 invites the community to immerse themselves in a broad range of artistic experiences.

The Family Magic program will continue to provide families with an opportunity to immerse themselves in the magic of the performing arts with six performances, while Delightful Days & Matinees returns with six shows for those who prefer to visit the centre during the day.

Following its successful inaugural season in 2023, Geelong Arts Centre i the return of the REWIRE program in 2024; a celebration of new art, contemporary Australian voices, and immersive experiences with a modern edge.

Next year, Geelong Arts Centre is introducing a new membership program – Glitterati.
