Geelong Mums in the Christmas spirit

December 13, 2018 BY

Geelong Mums has over 860 registered volunteers, and is continuing to expand in the community.

Geelong Mums is calling on individuals in the community to make a financial donation that will fund essential nursery equipment for disadvantaged babies and children this Christmas.

The not-for-profit organisation – which recently celebrated its fifth year of operation – is advocating for its 2018 Christmas appeal ‘from our family to yours’, encouraging people to give back and help struggling families in the community.

Geelong Mums general manger Julia Roache said this time of year can be difficult for families from low-socio economic backgrounds.

“Christmas should be a time of joy and celebration, but for the families we support each month who have nowhere for their babies to sleep, this will not be the case,” she said.

“Making a monetary donation that will provide essential nursery equipment will bring much needed relief to families facing unthinkable hardship at this time of year.

“With your support, we can provide items critical to children’s safety – cots, prams and car seats – and show a family how much you care this Christmas. It might be the only gift they receive.”

Donations from $25 up to $1,000 can make a significant difference to families in need.
