Indian cuisine heads to Portarlington with HelloFoody

SMOOTH creamy butter chicken, slow-cooked tender lamb rogan josh, and freshly baked naan breads are just some of the authentic Indian dishes now available in Portarlington and the wider Bellarine Peninsula this summer.

HelloFoody has won the hearts and stomachs of locals with delicious, finger-licking Indian curries and amazing service, all from the window of a food truck.

Fitted with an almost commercial kitchen set up Andy Sharma, chef, and owner of HelloFoody at Portarlington, is churning out restaurant quality Indian food from his kitchen.

With mouthwatering lamb and chicken biryanis, chicken tikkas, beef or lamb kormas and buttery coconut prawns, Mr Sharma is set to tantalise taste buds this summer.

With an aromatic blend of traditional Indian herbs and spices, all curries are made to order according to individuals spice levels, meaning customers can fully appreciate the flavours and tastes of the curries.

Served over fragrant steamed rice or paired with fluffy fresh baked naan breads, the portions are generous and good value for money.

With vegetarian and vegan options also available, this is the place to sate your Indian food cravings.

HelloFoody is parked in a food park with extensive indoor and outdoor seating and is pet friendly, making it perfect for any outdoor events or parties.

Mr Sharma has been in the food industry for 15 years as a chef and a mixologist.

He knows the perfect blend of flavours and tastes that define a perfect gastronomical experience.

After working in India, Mr Sharma came to Australia and helped set up a successful fine dining Indian restaurant in Melbourne, which ran successfully until COVID.

After that he set up a successful Indian takeaway shop with his business partner in the Corio Village Centre.

Now he has teamed up with his wife to run his Indian food truck on the Bellarine, bringing amazing restaurant-quality food and passion to all Indian food connoisseurs in the area.

HelloFoody is located at 9B Brown Street, Portarlington.

Open from Tuesday through Sunday, HelloFoody are open for dinners on weekdays, and for lunch and dinner on the weekends, from 12 noon-8.30pm.

The business offers delivery between 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm each day to the surrounding towns.
