September 26, 2018 BY

Local charity Ocean Mind have brought Melbourne comedians, including Josh Earl, to Torquay for a night of guaranteed laughs while raising money for their upcoming surfing programs.

Comedians of the highest calibre will arrive in Torquay on October 4 to raise money for local charity Ocean Mind during A Barrell of Laughs.

The event held at Boardriders will welcome Melbourne comics Josh Earl, Geraldine Hickey, Kelly Fastuca and Ben Knight and raise much-needed funds for Ocean Mind’s upcoming season of therapeutic surfing programs.

Award-winning live performer Josh Earl has an impressive dossier including Fringeworld Best Comedy, television appearances (Spicks and Specks, MICF Allstars Gala) and radio (3RRRfm Breakfasters and ABC Melbourne 774).

Josh has also been published in the Sunday Tasmanian and Frankie as well as 13 sold-out Melbourne International Comedy Festival Seasons.

Geraldine Hickey is the star of 3RRRfm’s The Breakfasters and featured in this year’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala and Upfront.

Kelly Fastuca as heard on podcasts YKWD, Keith and the Girl and the host of the Get Your Hand Off It and Worst First Dates, has been performing stand up in Australia and New York City for almost a decade.

Last but not least, after a sell-out run of his 2017 Melbourne International Comedy Festival show, actor, comedian and teacher Ben Knight has returned and is ready to take everyone ‘Back to School’.

The event will be held at Bar 61 Boardriders in Torquay on October 4 and will kick-off at 7pm, tickets are $30 and can be booked at ticketebo.com.au/ocean-mind-inc/ocean-mind-presents-a-barrel-of-laughs.html.
