Lee Kernaghan gets back on the road

After a four-year break from touring, Lee Kernaghan is making his return to the stage with a new show.

Along with a new band, the Australian Country artist will take his Boys from the Bush- The Concert tour across the country.

Growing up in regional Australia, Kernaghan was able to produce country music through his own experiences.

The musician said he is looking forward to seeing everyone out on the road with his coming tour.

“After what has been a rough few years for everyone, I have to say I have never been more ready and pumped to get out there and celebrate living in the lucky country with my mates all around Australia on this tour,” Kernaghan said.

“It will be a musical journey live on stage going back to where it all began and culminating with some new music I have been working on.”

Some of his biggest hits include “The Outback Club”, “Boys from the Bush”, “She’s my Ute” and “Australian Boy”.

In 2008 Kernaghan was named Australian of the Year for his work with regional communities during droughts, fires and flood.

After entering the Australian music scene more than three decades ago, Kernaghan has found success in the charts with 39 number one hit singles and 13 chart topping albums.

With 38 Golden Guitars and four ARIA Awards under his belt, Kernaghan returns to the live stage in what will be his biggest career showcase to date.

“It’s these iterations with people that inspire my music and after what we have all been through, I reckon there is a whole head of new song ideas waiting for me out there to bring back home and record,” he said.

“After a long four years away from touring I can tell you one thing – the boy from the bush is most definitely back and ready to rock.”

Kernaghan will perform at Costa Hall on July 6, with special guests Tori Darkie and Matt Cornell.
