LOCALLES are bringing fun to the summer and celebrating their newest single with a special show on the Surf Coast this December.

The local four-piece of Ted O’Neill, Paul Doery, John Waller and Michael Fitzgerald will debut new single Old Saucepan at Bells Brewery on December 20.

The members of Localles each come with a reputable history within the Melbourne music scene, having played in The Vasco Era, The Exploders and Rat & Co.

Their collective experience and personal quirks build something enthralling.

The second single of their upcoming EP A Virus in the Ti Tree, Old Saucepan is an observation of Australia that veers between lament and celebration.

“We are lucky to be in a country that generally celebrates diversity, yet at the same time we have a long way to go,” frontman Ted O’Neill said.

“If we can celebrate the best parts of Australia and do away with divisiveness, racism and scaremongering, we will be getting a bit closer to a place that everyone can be proud of.”

Localles are set to release their new EP, A Virus in the Ti Tree, in the early half of 2026.

They have again worked with producer Greg Rietwyk (Press Club, Neighbourhood Youth, The Pretty Littles), with mastering done by the Grammy-nominated Andrei Eremin (Hiatus Kaiyote, Baker Boy, Chet Faker).

Localles’ Bells Brewery show will feature supports from The Grimwoods, South Atlas and Plastic Cheeses.
