Music stars to shine at twilight

December 6, 2017 BY

Australian music icon John Farnham is set to perform Twilight at the Track with a stellar line-up of guests in what promises to be a highly-memorable show at the Geelong Racing Club.

Farnham will be joined by Kate Ceberano, The Black Sorrows, Richard Clapton, 1927 and Taxiride on Saturday December 9.

Kate Ceberano is a frequent visitor to the region and is looking forward to returning once again.

“I will be perfoming a good little mix of songs,” Ceberano said.

“My set will include music from across my 30 years in the industry; it’s going to be a fun, easy concert to perform.

“Geelong is like a miniature Melbourne and it’s always a great destination to visit. I’m in Geelong often with my family but I’ve never been to the Geelong Racing Club so that’s exciting.”

Kate Ceberano is Australia’s high priestess of pop, an award-winning jazz singer, wears the hat of a fine artistic director and above all that, she is a songwriter with the talent to take a tune to the top of the charts.

In 2014, Ceberano became the first Australian woman to be inducted into the Australian Songwriters Association (ASA) Hall of Fame and was later awarded an Order of Australia for Charitable Work and Services to the Music industry.

With 24 albums over 30 years, Ceberano is one of the most prolific Australian female recording artist of this era.

Guests will get to experience the best of Australian music on one stage with these music legends at Twilight at the Track.
