September 8, 2022 BY

Artist Heylie Morris has opened up her new space "HM Studio" located at 12/321 Pakington St. Newtown.

Artist Heylie Morris is best known for her colorful Australian wildlife paintings, incorporating acrylic and oils to her work as she dances the line between abstract and realism art.

More recently she has been exploring the mixed media side of art. You will find bright bold new works incorporating the continual love of birds and wildlife while introducing powerful female images and symbolic animals.

In June 2022, Heylie moved into her Little Malop St studio and has opened up her new space “HM Studio”, located at 12/321 Pakington St. Newtown.

Here she is selling original artworks along with prints of her work, as well as having a curated collection of local handmade artisanal products for sale including candles, ceramics, books and jewellery.

Heylie live paints on Saturdays with much interest from passers-by and feels completely embraced in the local community.

Heylie’s work is a dynamic collection of animals and female figures which focuses on the playfulness of Australian cocaktoos and other native birds, as well as the majestic, powerful beauty of tigers, leopards and jaguars.

In the near future one-on-one and small group art lessons will open up inside the studio on weekends.

Heylie, who is an art mentor with online students, has worked to facilitate in-person lessons for quite a long time and is looking forward to connecting with students in person.

She has been working with some fantastic companies who have embraced her artworks and have had great success.

Recently, she launched with her favourite brand Urban Road and has enjoyed a fantastic launch, offering more than 30 artworks to choose from.
