Yoga to calm the body and mind

September 17, 2020 BY

Healthcare and education workers can take a free yoga class with Anna Rimmer.

Yoga teacher Anna Rimmer is encouraging the region’s healthcare and education workers to roll out their mats and join a free virtual yoga session.

Anna, of Yoga Farm 3217, has been teaching yoga since 2002 and said the free weekly Yin Yoga classes exclusive for healthcare and education workers aimed to ease the stress and pressure of working in the educational and medical fields.

“Healthcare workers are the front line in the war on Coronavirus and are experiencing huge amounts of stress and anxiety. Our teachers are also struggling under challenging conditions and both should be offered tools to relieve their physical, mental and emotional pressure” says Anna Rimmer, Founder of Yoga Farm 3217.

“Yin Yoga calms the body and mind. It releases tension trapped in the body, slows down thoughts, increases circulation and enables better body movement,” Anna said.

“I have been running free courses for healthcare and education workers for some time and feedback has been remarkable. There’s never been a more important time to help our frontline heroes and this is the perfect way to allow them to reset every weekend”

Yin Yoga is a peaceful moving meditation practice that is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

Classes run each Saturday morning at 9am from Anna’s Mt Duneed location for an hour, and healthcare workers and teachers can simply register online. The classes will run for as long as there is enough interest and are totally free and without condition.

Class attendee Liz said she “teared up” in Anna’s free class.

“I am a teacher and have swayed between burnout and adrenaline fueled ‘keep going’ emotions all year. I completely loved the class and feel so relaxed and energized. Thank you so much.”

Anna is experienced in running Virtual Yoga Classes and welcomes hundreds of attendees in each session.
