RECENTLY-retired Geelong Football Club greats Gary Ablett and Harry Taylor will return to GMHBA Stadium this Sunday, April 18 for a lap of honour.

The two Cats players each announced their retirements following last year’s grand final, after racking up 357 and 280 games respectively.

Ablett and Taylor will be joined by their children for the special lap in front of the Geelong faithful before the bounce of the home game against North Melbourne.

The club encourages supporters to be seated by 4pm so they can say thanks to the two-time premiership players who gave so much to the blue and white hoops over their decorated careers.

Ablett won two Brownlow Medals, five AFLPA MVP awards, eight All Australians and six club best and fairest awards, while Taylor was twice honoured with All Australian status.

A VFL curtain raiser between Geelong and North Melbourne will kick off at 1pm, with the AFL game starting at 4.40pm. Tickets are on sale via ticketmaster.com.au.
