AN AWARD-WINNING SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT

February 13, 2019 BY

Celebrating its first year since opening and central to this developing young community is the new Armstrong Creek School. Winner of the Best Combined School Project Award at the 2018 Victorian School Design Awards, the school is a state-of-the-art learning and community facility with combined primary and special education. Students enjoy modern amenities with an indoor gymnasium built to Netball Victoria standards, outdoor hardcourts and sporting fields, open plan learning, vibrant playspaces, sensory rooms and gardens.

Designed with the local community in mind, the school’s Community Hub has been designed as a multi-purpose space that is used by the students during the school day and by the YMCA other times for out of school hours care and community programs.

Warralily will also be home to the new $38.4M Armstrong Creek Secondary College, which will be part of the Armstrong Creek Education Precinct from 2021.

Construction is also underway on Warralily Boulevard for the future St Catherine of Siena Catholic School that is planned to open in 2020.

Early childhood provides the building blocks for happy lifelong learning and there is an abundance of daycare and kindergarten choices for pre-schoolers and their families.

Newly opened:
• Elements Childcare and Early Learning Centre
• Bluebird Early Education Centre
• Eclipse Early Education Warralily
• Armstrong Creek East Children’s and Community Centre

“I’m privileged to lead this pioneering school where students of all abilities and backgrounds are supported to achieve success in learning. This year fifteen new teachers have enthusiastically joined us and we are expanding our specialist subject options in the Performing Arts, Visual Arts and STEM program areas.”
