SWELTERING heat failed to deter players and spectators from being a part of the Blitz Golf revolution at Curlewis Golf Club last week.

The revolutionary fast-paced golf format took place on Friday, as temperatures across the Bellarine soared past 40 degrees.

Described as the T20 of tournament golf, Blitz Golf is still a traditional stroke play event that’s played according to the rules of golf but that is where the similarities end.

Australia’s top PGA Pros competed, including Jack Wilson, Antonio Murdaca, David Bransdon, Stephanie Na, Max McCardle, Whitney Hillier and Stacey Peters.

Blitz Golf also delivered an action packed day for all ages, with Junior Clinics, putting competitions and a spectacular PGA PRO Wedge Competition kept everyone’s eyes on the ball in some form or fashion.

There was also outdoor bars, food trucks, barbecues, a DJ and kids activities.

Blitz Golf kicked off with a PGA Pro and Sponsors Function at The Range @ Curlewis on Thursday night, where everyone was welcome to come and see some of the top Aussie golf talent try to ‘Crush the Condor’.
