Boardies Ball raises thousands for All Aboard

MORE than 130 people attended the Surf Coast Big Boardies Ball over the weekend, raising thousands of dollars for Torquay charity All Aboard DisABILITY Support Services.

 

Held at The Sands in Torquay, the fundraising event will help fund the organisation’s local disability programs and ongoing operations.

 

Guests enjoyed performances by the Surf Coast Big Band, an Auslan presentation by All Aboard participants and an evening of dancing and entertainment.

 

All Aboard founder Kate Marshall said guests embraced the night’s beach-themed celebration.

 

“It was just fabulous,” she said. “The vibe was amazing and the band was sensational and got the crowd on their feet.

 

“Tap dancers made for some entertaining viewing, and as always the See Me Sing choir were marvellous.”
