STUDENTS at Anglesea Primary School are pinching themselves after a special visit from Santa’s helpful postie, Cam.

Cam arrived at the school astride his trusty magic sled, which is now as much a vehicle for delivering Christmas messages as it is for delivering holiday spirit to the whole town.

It is difficult to know who is more excited, Cam or the kids. “I’m one of Santa’s helpful posties so I went down to Anglesea Primary School and told them about a letter I got from Santa, which said ‘Dear Postie Cam, there are some letters to be picked up from the Anglesea Primary School, can you please pick them up and bring them to the

North Pole tonight? Thanks Santa,” he said.

Cam was a postie for 10 years in Torquay where he delighted students there performing a similar job for Santa. Now, working part-time for Anglesea Post Office, he’s resumed festive duties.

“The kids were amazed that Santa knew they had letters. We organised on their last day of school that our wonderful police, who love getting amongst it, will be there to give me a lights and sirens escort into the school grounds,” he said.

Keep your eyes peeled for Postie Cam, his police escort and his very merry delivery today at 2.15pm.
