Charity fashion dinner returns

August 22, 2019 BY

Last year's fashion dinner was a great success.

THE Saint Joseph’s College Fashion Dinner is back for 2019.

The night raises money for the Parish of Mannya, a community in remote southern Uganda, and St Joseph’s Kensekka, a sister school of Saint Joseph’s College that is based in a nearby community.

Throughout their 10-year partnership, the college has raised over $100,000 for the Parish of Mannya community. Last year saw an incredible turnout for the event, with 300 guests participating in what has become one of the biggest fashion events in Geelong.

The event also raised enough money for the building of a dam to provide freshwater for the students in Kensekka. Tickets to the event are $100, yet there are ways to contribute to the dinner without attending.

Goods can be donated for the silent auction, as can items for goodie bags, and there is still a chance to become a table sponsor or even a sponsor of the main auction.

The dinner, now in its 17th year, has become a premier event for the College. It will be held in The Presidents Room at GMHBA Stadium on Thursday September 19.
