A day of wellness at Bancoora In

November 28, 2017 BY

Bancoora In is a newly completed purpose-built retreat studio situated between Torquay and Barwon Heads.

Local business owner of My Surf Coast Life Susie Seale said after a recent visit to the Bancoora In, she and her team couldn’t wait to host their first lifestyle, yoga and wellness event at the facilities on November 12.

“The studio and surrounds are stunning,” Susie said.

“Bancoora In’s unique and blissful setting is the big appeal for me.”

Nestled in natural bush landscape, the studio features glass floor-to-ceiling panels that overlook a waterlily lake inhabited by native wildlife.

“We’re in awe of the owner’s vision at Connewarre, and how few people know about the Bancoora In. It’s such an amazing venue,” Susie said.

“We wanted the My Surf Coast Life event to appeal to everybody interested in recharging before Christmas. Setting an intention and making the commitment to follow through is a big part of positive change.

“Many people interested in devoting time to their physical and mental wellbeing are unable to attend full weekend retreats. Sometimes it’s just too much and one time-out day is more manageable.”

Four guest teachers will present yoga, meditation, mantra and relaxation techniques.

Lyndon Morgan of Narana Aboriginal Cultural Centre will showcase the didgeridoo as a sound healing instrument.

“It’s a rare privilege to hear the didgeridoo played,” Susie said.

“Planetary gongs will also accompany periods of relaxation.”

A bespoke vegan lunch, morning and afternoon tea will be served.

“We’re all crazy about food. So we wanted the menu to reflect our love of all things bright and beautiful.”

The Bancoora In is located at 291 Breamlea Road, Connewarre. The My Surf Coast Life event will run from 10am-4pm, with early-bird registration available until November 6 for $120.
