Farm fresh for Eat Local Month

March 24, 2016 BY

Eat Local HUSBAND-and-wife team Hayden and Jasmin Findlay had a dream of making a living off their small family farm in Moriac.
They’ve spent the last seven years redeveloping the 90-acre property, converting a humble beef farm into a regenerative, biodiverse environment.
Now, Raven’s Creek Farm produces its own natural honey, free range eggs, seasonal vegetables, 2014 Weekly Times Outstanding Farmer of the Year.
Raven’s Creek Farm will be showcased throughout Eat Local Month, a month-long food and wine festival on the Surf Coast and Otway Hinterlands.
Feast is Eat Local Month’s new signature event, and is set to showcase the farm’s beautiful surrounds and produce on Saturday April 2.
Guests will stroll through undulating paddocks as they discover a degustation walking trail, where every 300 metres or so they will sip, sample and savour a taste of the region.
Each course is skilfully crafted by some of our region’s best chefs and restaurants and matched with our best cool climate wines, beer or cider.
The Raven’s Creek Autumn Fair, a fun, familyfriendly event, attracting over 2,000 people is also back for the third year in a row on April 24.
Feast and Raven’s Creek Autumn Fair are two of the many culinary events scheduled for April.
