HUNDREDS of community, business and government leaders from across the Geelong region will gather in Torquay tomorrow (Friday, July 28) for the G21 Annual Regional Forum.

To be again held at RACV Torquay Resort, the popular yearly event will be hosted by ABC journalist Ali Moore.

This year is the first G21 Regional Forum since the establishment of the G21 First Nations Conversation, connecting Traditional Owners and First Nations leaders from across the region.

During today’s G21 First Nations – A Regional Voice session, moderated by Adnyamathanha woman and G21 First Nations chair Marsha Uppill, the audience will hear from leaders from across Wadawurrung, Gulidjan, and Gadubanud Country share their perspectives on the Indigenous Voice to Parliament and how they see the future in this part of the world.

Another highlight of the program will be a Transport and Housing Panel featuring Matt McDonald from Searoad Ferries, Tony Brun from Avalon Airport, and Dr Allison Stewart from Infrastructure Victoria.

The G21 Annual Regional Forum begins tomorrow at 9am and runs until 3pm.

Tickets include morning tea, lunch, and post-forum drinks and canapes.
