THERE are some things in life that just go together effortlessly, like summertime and sandy toes, blue skies and colourful zinc, and now beach days and great coffee, wholesome food and cool vibes – a match made in heaven.

The Stoop Canteen at Torquay Surf Life Saving Club is the latest offshoot of the popular restaurant in town with the similar name, and beach-goers are raving.

Serving barista-made coffee from local roaster, Mikro, freshly picked local strawberries, tasty treats and the obligatory icy pole, the team at the new Stoop Canteen have nailed the perfect beach day.

“A day at the beach doesn’t have to mean missing out on great coffee,” The Stoop’s Cate Wignall said.

“While we are getting great feedback from our customers, we think we are the lucky ones. We get to work at one of the most popular beaches in Victoria, with one of the world’s most beautiful views,” Ms Wignall said.

Beach-goers have been known to be entertained with the signature dance moves of Sean behind the coffee machine, while chilling out to the team’s selection of hip tunes and taking in the view of the iconic Torquay surf beach.

The Stoop has also joined the Torquay Surf Club as a silver sponsor further extending their partnership beyond a commercial arrangement. With a focus on community engagement and wanting to support the service the club provides, The Stoop team has donated lunches to the volunteer beach patrols throughout the season. In addition, they have partnered with the club to host bar and meal nights across the busy January period for important fundraising.

“We love having The Stoop guys as part of our club, from the early morning swimmers, to the hundreds of Nippers and the influx of visitors to our beach, it’s a partnership that just works for everyone,” Club President Tiffany Quinlan.

The Stoop Canteen is serving coffee from 7.30am every day during the summer season.
