THE Jan Juc Surf Life Saving Club and the Torquay Boardriders Club will be working more closely together from now on, with the two clubs signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Sunday.

In signing the MOU, Jan Juc SLSC president Aaron Green and Torquay Boardriders Club president Cahill Bell-Warren said they looked forward to a greater future of co-operation.

Both clubs have their individual strengths that they hope will benefit the other with planned fitness training programs and ocean safety techniques being the guiding factor of the relationship.

The first year of the partnership will focus on joint activities for the respective juniors and assessing member enthusiasm for ways to increase awareness and strengthen connections that benefit both clubs and the broader community.

With the agreement now in place, the clubs look forward to working towards implementing the partnership in accordance with the wishes of the members of both clubs.
