LADIES ON THE LAWN

MORE than 95 female players took to the Torquay Bowls Club on Friday February 15 to compete in the Ladies Open Day. The afternoon sunshine accommodated 24 teams, with event organisers and bowls club staff on deck to lend a helping hand. Sponsored by Torquay Storage, Wyndham Resort Torquay and Peachs Torquay, participants enjoyed a morning tea at 9.30am before starting play on the lawn at 10am to compete in three games of 10 ends. The winning team scored a generous prize pool of $1,000.
