BOY and Bear will replace San Cisco at this weekend’s By the Pier music festival.

A positive COVID case in the San Cisco touring party has forced the late change, with the Aussie five-piece folk band to step in and play the headline Friday night show that kicks off the inaugural Queenscliff event.

“San Cisco unfortunately are no longer able to perform at By the Pier this Friday due to a positive COVID case within the touring party. We wish them a speedy recovery,” the festival said.

“We’re very excited to be welcoming Australian indie folk group Boy to By the Pier on Friday 25th March, performing 10:30-11:30pm in place of San Cisco.

“Boy and Bear bring their 70s inspired pop-folk vibes and signature glorious vocals to the BTP stage this Friday.”

By the Pier will continue on Saturday and Sunday on the Queenscliff foreshore, with Julia Stone and Vera Blue among a stacked line-up of Australian artists performing on its stage.

Tickets are available at www.bythepier.com.au.
