TORQUAY rockers Good Sniff have their sights set on launching themselves into the international spotlight, but need a little help to get there.

Lachie Brown and Elias Hodson will bring their garage-punk sound to the Torquay Hotel on March 20 as part of a fundraising show for their tour of the United Kingdom and Europe.

Proceeds will go towards the pair paying for flights, accommodation, printing merchandise and more.

“It’s not every day bands like us from a small coastal town get to go tour overseas. So we just feel super grateful,” Brown said.

“Please come to the gig and cheer us on. We hope to do Torquay proud!”

Good Sniff’s music has taken them across the country to multiple venues and festivals.

Their prowess has put them on stage alongisde artists including Wavves, Civic, The Grogans, Skegss, The Terrys, Cosmic Psychos and Ruby Fields.

Brown said a return home after a jam-packed three months of travel is “just what the doctor ordered.”

“Getting to play back home feels super special due to family, friends plus our own audience coming along.

“There’s something in the air at these home turf shows. It’s community focused and seeing mates just having a yarn and going crazy makes it more special for us.”

Joining Good Sniff on the event bill will be Sargent Baker, Dragnet, W.O.M.B.A.T and GString Nicotine.

“This lineup is insane, showcasing some of Victoria’s finest bands as well. Playing mainly heavy stuff with a mix of old and more recent stuff,” Brown said. Tickets are available via Oztix.
