Local business supports CFA

WHITFORD Property Barwon Heads is proud to be part of the local community, and to support their community, they are donating $1,000 to their local CFA from each property sale they make from January through to April.

Whitford’s Elliot McLaren, who is also a brigade member, said the company’s employees lived in a wonderful, connected coastal community and cared deeply for the town they loved so much.

“We want to do everything we can to keep it safe for all,” Mr McLaren said. the CFA to help fund the essential and tireless work they do.”

Barwon Heads brigade captain Helen Wood said they were very appreciative of Whitford Real Estate’s initiative.

“The Barwon Heads Fire Brigade has been serving the Barwon Heads and wider Bellarine communities for 80 years now.

“It is the support from organisations such as Whitford that enables us to continue keeping homes, properties and livestock safe throughout the year, “As a volunteer organisation, we are very grateful to Whitford’s for their commitment to donate $1,000 to the CFA for every house sold.

“It will assist us in purchasing much needed equipment and help towards our goal to expand the station as we consider the long-term sustainability of the brigade.”

Ms Wood has been a member of Barwon Heads Fire Brigade since 2003 and “It’s an honour and a privilege to be captain of the Barwon Heads Fire Brigade and to work with the marvellous group of people who make up the membership of the brigade.”
