More than movement at CorePlus

COREPLUS Studios is marking a meaningful milestone across the Surf Coast, with its Ocean Grove studio recently celebrating its first birthday.

The anniversary completes a trio of studios spanning Geelong, Torquay and now Ocean Grove – a reflection of steady, community-led growth.

Set within coastal towns where movement is part of everyday life, CorePlus has become known for its mindful approach to Pilates, reformer and yoga.

For many locals, the studios have become an extension of the Surf Coast lifestyle – places to move, breathe and connect before a morning surf, after school drop-off or at the end of a long workday.

Studio owners Emma, Cam and Niki said the vision has always been about creating welcoming spaces that support both physical and mental wellbeing.

 

“We wanted to build studios where people feel comfortable walking through the door, regardless of where they’re at in their movement journey,” they said.

“Community connection is at the heart of everything we do.”

That sense of belonging has been especially evident in Ocean Grove’s first year. The studio has quickly established itself as a local hub, mirroring the strong foundations already built in Geelong and Torquay.

Across all three locations, members range from surfers and shift workers to parents, retirees and first-timers – often sharing the same class and sense of support.

As CorePlus continues to grow across the Surf Coast, the three studios also present a unique opportunity for local Pilates and yoga instructors.

With multiple locations operating within close proximity, instructors can build sustainable teaching schedules while remaining connected to their local communities.

 

“Having three studios so close together allows us to genuinely support and mentor instructors,” Emma, Cam and Niki said.

“We’re passionate about creating pathways for emerging teachers who want to grow their careers without leaving the coast.”

Looking ahead, the Surf Coast studio will open recruitment for instructors who share the CorePlus’ values of mindful movement, inclusivity and connection.
