Nazareth Catholic Primary celebrates 40th anniversary

May 15, 2019 BY

Nazareth Catholic Primary recognises that learning involves risk-taking, opportunities to share possible solutions and a “so now what do we think” attitude.

It’s time to celebrate! Nazareth Catholic Primary School’s 40th Anniversary.

Nazareth school has been at the heart of the Grovedale community since 1979.

We are now celebrating 40 years of Catholic Education and want to share a little of what takes place.

This year has provided us with the opportunity to continue to focus on our students’ knowledge, understanding and wellbeing.

We continue to be a lighthouse school for Reading through the Fountas & Pinell Literacy program.

Literacy expertise is shared during facilitated planning with staff to improve learning outcomes for students.

Our involvement in the ‘Big Write’ has also provided our staff with expertise and professional learning in the area of writing.

We recognise that learning involves risk- taking, opportunities to share possible solutions and a ‘so now what do we think’ attitude.

Provocations are used to depth thinking and understanding.

We currently extend our children’s love of learning through our Specialist program of Italian, STEM, The Arts and Library.

The students’ creativity, problem solving and opportunity to say ‘what if’ is truly brought to life in these areas.

The Arts and Culture leaders worked alongside Mr Plapp to capture the imagination of our students.
