SURF Coast Police are calling on the community to keep an eye out following repeated vandalism at Anglesea’s Loveridge Lookout.

There have been several incidents of what appears to be anti-Semitic graffiti occurring at the lookout since March this year.

Some incidents were reported to police, others were not. However there is now an ongoing investigation into the vandalism.

Torquay Police Station Senior Sergeant Adrian Bickley said local police were requesting the public’s assistance in the investigation.

“Local police requesting public assistance in regards to identifying the person or persons involved in this graffiti at Loveridge Lookout.

“If members of the public see anything suspicious around the Loveridge Lookout, such as persons that may be, or appear to be, vandalising the area or suspicious cars in the area late at night.

“If that’s the case, I’d ask that they call 000 immediately and we can then get a police unit to attend as soon as possible.”

People are also encouraged to report anything they believe may lead police to identify the person or persons involved.

Reports can be made anonymously to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 for police to follow up as part of their investigations.
