Spring Creek Probus turns 25

April 4, 2018 BY

THE Spring Creek Probus Club has turned 25, and celebrated the anniversary at the club’s changeover lunch last month.

The lunch at the Beach Hotel in Jan Juc followed the ladies-only club’s annual general meeting, where a new committee was elected.

Past presidents of Spring Creek Probus Club, representatives of Rotary and some of Torquay’s other Probus clubs were also present at the celebrations.

Initially started by Rotary but now a separate organisation, Probus members are active retirees for which the club provides regular opportunities to keep minds active, expand interests and enjoy the fellowship of new friends.

As well as the Spring Creek Probus Club – which meets monthly in the Torquay Senior Citizens Centre – there are several Probus groups across the Surf Coast, including Torquay Zeally Bay Probus, Torquay Probus, Torquay Ladies Probus, Combined Probus Club of Torquay Surf Coast, Torquay Central Combined Probus, Torquay Jan Juc Probus and Surfcoast Anglesea Probus.
