SURF film lovers will flock to the Australian National Surfing Museum next week for the launch of the 15th edition of the Bells Beach Surf Film Festival.
The world’s best surf films will return to Torquay from January 2 to 4, with more than 15 titles set to hit the screen.
Australia’s longest-running surf film festival, the event showcases a mix of local and international productions to a wide and enthusiastic audience each year.

Festival director, John Foss, said he was thrilled with the strength and variety of the 2026 program.
“We are stoked to be bringing some fantastic surf films to Torquay in 2026. Opening night on Friday 2rd January features the amazing Jujo: The Musical plus Changing Tempo and Le Jardin, which explores incredible waves in Morocco,” he said.
“We are also excited to be showing some old school style Super 8mm surf films: My Malibu and Home, filmed and edited by Ella Bourne and local filmmaker Katey Shearer.

“Closing night we have the award-winning Bee Hives and Bottom Turns, plus a surprise big wave film. Fifteen amazing surf films to celebrate our 15th anniversary.”
Doors open at 7.30pm each night, with films starting at 8pm.
